Install and test e-voting yourself

How can interested parties install the future e-voting system on their own computer, test the vote casting process and simulate attacks? At the fourth e-voting expert webinar, our specialists gave a step-by-step explanation and live demonstration of how the end-to-end test works.

The main components and documentation of Swiss Post’s future e-voting system have been freely accessible on the specialist platform GitLab since 2021. Anyone who is interested can also run the system on their own computer, carry out a ballot and look for vulnerabilities.

At the expert webinar on 28 July 2022, participants learned what tools are available to them for the end-to-end test and how they can proceed step by step to install the system and simulate the voting procedure.

A recording of the expert webinar is available below.
