Looking back on Swiss Post Digital Connect 2025

Looking back on Swiss Post Digital Connect, with the most important discussions and topics on digital transformation.

At the Swiss Post Digital Connect event, managers from various sectors met to share ideas and discuss the future of digital transformation. With contributions from leading national and international experts, break-out sessions and opportunities for informal discussion, the event provided the possibility to get inspirational insights and meet exciting people.

Digitization succeeds with trust

Nicole Burth, Head of Digital Services at Swiss Post, opened the event. She emphasised the importance secure digital communication has for future-proof digital transformation in Switzerland, and how Swiss Post can support this development as a trusted, nation-wide institution. With secure communication platforms, compatible software solutions and cybersecurity services, Swiss Post is promoting the secure digitization of the healthcare, management and economic sectors.

For Christian Levrat, Chair of the Board of Directors at Swiss Post, being close to the public and having their trust is key. Swiss Post wants to contribute towards the expansion of a digital public service in Switzerland with its solutions for digital letters, e-voting and the electronic patient record.

Artificial intelligence sets new standards

Uli Homann from Microsoft and Patrick Schilling from Google gave the audience a glimpse into the future: how will artificial intelligence change how we work, our everyday lives and our user interfaces? Uli Homann explained how smart agents can take efficiency in digital work to a new level and illustrated how they are redefining the customer experience. An avatar that carries out the initial investigation into a patient’s medical history or a language AI that takes notes during the consultation. That is the reality today. By contrast, a digital twin that everyone is given at birth as a companion and helper is still a vision for the future. Patrick Schilling’s impressive live demo showed how we can use individual learning agents to generate content. Both speakers described smart AI agents as a key technology for future technological possibilities.

Practical immersion

In the break-out sessions, participants were immersed in the challenges of day-to-day business life. They got to know technical solutions for a variety of sectors. Topics included the digitization of the healthcare sector, the complete digitization of business correspondence and the management of cyber risks. The sessions offered a platform for intensive discussion and an exchange of knowledge and experience.
