For strategic reasons, the software was no longer developed any further by the provider at the time.  When the support for the practice software used was terminated by the supplier, the owners decided to completely revamp the IT infrastructure. The operation of amétiq siMed in the cloud not only allows you to use the software at home, for instance for reporting, it also enables smartphone/tablet access for house calls.

 

Central service desk and reliable support

The central service desk acts as a single point of contact for all IT issues, whether for disruptions or any required adjustments. It coordinates the various partners in the background. If a problem cannot be resolved with remote maintenance, there is a quick on-site service throughout Switzerland that is available for local call-outs.

Thanks to meticulous preparation, the practice was successfully migrated to “Time4Patient” over the course of a weekend. The practice remained closed on the Friday prior to migration, and, whilst the practice team were given training on the new practice software, technicians replaced the hardware with new hardware and fully migrated the patient data over to the new system. “The project team prepared us so well for the migration that we were quickly able to resume normal practice operations. The detailed timetable ensured we always had a clear overview of next steps, and what data was needed in what form,” explains Melanie Germann, Administrative Management and Practice Coordination. “Even the several weeks of intensive support following the migration really helped us get back into the day-to-day routine fast.”
