Open an EPR free of charge online in 9 cantons now

This is made possible by the digital self-onboarding service for the EPR: since August 2023, residents in the Cantons of Basel-Stadt, Bern, Schaffhausen, Solothurn, Zug and Zurich have been able to open an electronic patient record online anytime, anywhere – and at no cost. As of 17 January 2024, three additional cantons can also use the service free of charge: Basel-Land, Nidwalden and Schwyz have signed agreements with Post Sanela Health AG.

And there’s good news for residents of other cantons: they can now also open their EPR fully digitally. The only difference? In cantons without an agreement with Post Sanela Health AG, the online opening process costs 15 francs.
